You can use PRESTO cards at Milliken GO Station,
starting today

You can use PRESTO fare cards at Milliken GO Station, starting today, Monday, May 30, as Milliken becomes the next PRESTO “agency” at a GO station.

At a PRESTO agency, you can

  • buy a PRESTO card,
  • “load” value onto your card,
  • check your balance and
  • make various other transactions.

At Milliken GO Station, you can use your PRESTO card to pay fares on all GO Transit trains serving the station. You can’t use the card to pay your fare on TTC or York Region Transit buses.

Until Sunday, June 26, you can visit Milliken GO Station to trade your 10-ride ticket or monthly pass for a PRESTO card free. Present your ticket or pass to the station attendant and the attendant will transfer any balance to a PRESTO card and waive the usual the $6 issuance fee.

Milliken was the last GO station on the Stouffville line to receive PRESTO equipment. After today, you can use PRESTO at all stations along the 01 Lakeshore West, 21 Milton, 65 Barrie and 71 Stouffville lines. You can also use the cards at all stations along the 09 Lakeshore East line, except Pickering and all stations along the 31 Georgetown line, except Brampton.

Read Transit Toronto’s June 4, 2010 post for more information about using PRESTO cards on GO trains.
