Extra HSR service to the beach resumes June 4

The Hamilton Street Railway resumes its summer-only route to Lake Ontario beaches in the east end of Hamilton, starting Saturday, June 4.

HSR buses serving the 56 Confederation Park route operate every 45 minutes from 9 a.m. until 9:15 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and holidays only until Labour Day, Monday, September 6.

Northbound buses start their trips at the Eastgate Terminal, then proceed:

eastward along Queenston Road;
northward along Centennial Parkway North;
eastward along Beach Boulevard and into Confederation Park to Wild Waterworks.

The buses then proceed:
westward out of Confederation Park;
westward along Beach Boulevard and Van Wagner’s Beach Road to the Lakeland Pool.

Northbound buses stop

  • in Eastgate Terminal,
  • on Centennial Parkway North north of Queenston Road, at Delawana and Violet Drives, Barton Street East and Arrowsmith Road and across from Goderich Road,
  • in Confederation Park at Wild Waterworks and
  • on Van Wagner’s Beach Road at Adventure Village, Baranga’s Club, Hutch’s and Lakeland Pool and
  • in Lakeland Loop.

Southbound buses reverse the routing.

Southbound buses stop

  • in Lakeland Loop,
  • on Van Wagner’s Beach Road across from Lakeland Pool, Hutch’s, Baranga’s Club and Adventure Village,
  • in Confederation Park at Wild Waterworks,
  • on Centennial Parkway North at Goderich and Arrowsmith Roads, Barton Street East, Eastgate Court and Delawana Drive and
  • in Eastgate Terminal.
