Chaplin Crescent construction affects TTC buses



Update — Tuesday, December 12, 4:35 p.m.: Construction at the intersection has ended and buses have resumed regular service.


Update — Saturday, November 12, 6:21 p.m.: The City is again closing the westbound lanes and the TTC is again detouring buses operating along the 14 Glencairn route, starting Monday, November 14.


Update — Saturday, August 13, 5:30 p.m.: Construction has ended and buses have resumed regular service.


Since last Monday, June 27, the City of Toronto’s ongoing project to replace the watermains along Avenue Road has affected traffic along Chaplin Crescent between Avenue Road and Oriole Parkway.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along the 14 Glencairn route, while work affects the street.

Starting Monday, June 27, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Chaplin Crescent and Avenue Road, then detour:

southward along Avenue Road;
eastward along Oxton Avenue; and then
northward along Oriole Parkway to Chaplin,
resuming their regular route eastward along Chaplin.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

- on Chaplin Crescent east of Avenue Road and at Oriole Parkway.

Westbound buses reverse the detour routing.
