Brampton Transit detours buses at railway crossing,
August 26 to 30



The City of Brampton is closing

  • Railroad Street between Mill Street North and Park Street

this weekend to accommodate Orangeville - Brampton Railway crews who will are repairing the railway crossing.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses operating along the 52 McMurchy route, while the roadway is closed.

Southbound buses start their trips in the Downtown Brampton Terminal, as usual, then proceed:

westward along Nelson Street West to McMurchy Avenue North,
resuming their regular route southward along McMurchy North.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Railroad Street west of Mill Street North and across from West Street and
  • on McMurchy Avenue North south of Railroad Street and at Nelson Street West.

Northbound buses operate along their regular route to McMurchy Avenue North and Nelson Street West, then detour:

eastward along Nelson West;
northward along George Street North; and then
eastward into the Downtown Brampton Terminal,
ending their trips.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on McMurchy Avenue North at Dennison Street and
  • on Railroad Street east of McMurchy Avenue North, at West Street and Mill Street North.
