Starting Labour Day, Monday, September 5, buses operating along the new 201 iXpress route provide a direct limited-stop service between University Avenue West beside Wilfrid Laurier University and the Forest Glen Terminal, mostly along Fischer - Hallman Road. With fewer stops, the 201 iXpress is faster than buses operating along local bus routes and travel time between Waterloo and Kitchener is just 45 minutes.

The 201 iXpress is the first of several more iXpress routes that GRT will launch over the next few years. Look new green bus stop markers to identify 201 iXpress stops along the route and a green-and-black dotted line on the transit route map.

When northbound buses arrive at Cherry Blossom Road and Fountain Street North, they proceed northward along Fountain North, instead of southward to ATS.
