Burlington Transit again detours buses at Brant / Fairview,
evenings, September 12 to 14



The City of Burlington is again closing

  • the intersection of Brant and Fairview Streets

overnight Monday, September 12 until Wednesday, September 14 as part of a longer-term City project to improve Fairview Street.

Burlington Transit is detouring buses operating along the 1 Fairview / Plains and 10 New routes, while the intersection is closed.


1 Fairview / Plains

Eastbound buses operate along their regular route.

After 7 p.m. from Monday, September 12 until Wednesday, September 14, westbound buses operate along their regular route to Fairview and Brant Streets, then detour:

northward along Brant;
westward along Plains Road East; and then
southward along Maple Avenue to Fairview Street,
resuming their regular route westward along Fairview.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Fairview Street west of Brant Street and at Maple Avenue.

Instead, westbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on Brant Street north of Fairview Street.

After 7 p.m. from Monday, September 12 until Wednesday, September 14, eastbound buses operate along their regular route to Fairview and Brant Streets, then detour:

northward along Brant;
westward along Plains Road East; and then
southward along Maple Avenue to Fairview Street,
resuming their regular route westward along Fairview.

  • on Fairview Street west of Brant Street and at Maple Avenue.

The City previously closed the intersection — and Burlington Transit detoured buses — evenings after 7 p.m. from Tuesday, August 2 until Friday, August 5 and Thursday, August 11 and Friday, August 12.
