Metrolinx board of directors meets, September 15



The Metrolinx board of directors is holding its next meeting tomorrow, Thursday, September 15.

As usual, the agenda for the meeting contains both public and confidential items. The board will discuss the public items in a public session that starts at 8:30 a.m. The board then meets in private to discuss the rest of the items on the agenda after 10 a.m.

The meeting takes place in the Metrolinx Executive Boardroom, Sixth Floor, 20 Bay Street.

Among other items, the board will consider:

  • a report from the president of GO Transit, detailing how the number of GO passengers has increased and how the systems “on-time” performance has met standards. (You can read the report here. (.pdf) and view a presentation here. (.pdf))
  • a report from the Managing Director and Executive Vice-President of PRESTO, highlighting the success of the fare card, outlining a plan to roll out the fare-card system on the TTC and suggesting future PRESTO service on other Greater Golden Horseshoe Transit systems, including Guelph Transit and Grand River Transit.   • a report from the chair of the customer-service committee explaining that GO is redesigning its schedules later this fall and how higher customer satisfaction results from GO investing in its employees.
