MiWay detours buses at Long Branch Loop, September 19 to 21

The TTC project to upgrade Long Branch Loop is now affecting MiWay bus service at the terminal.

Starting today, Monday, September 19, MiWay is detouring buses operating along the 5 Dixie, 5B Dixie - Meyerside and 23 Lakeshore routes.

Construction at the loop started Sunday, September 4. TTC streetcars operating along the 301 Queen overnight, 501 Queen and 508 Lakeshore routes operate only as far west as Kipling Loop. Buses replace the cars between Long Branch and Islington Avenue.

From Monday, September 19 until Wednesday, September 21, eastbound buses drop off passengers at a temporary stop on Lake Shore Boulevard West east of Forty-First Street, across from Long Branch Loop.

The buses then proceed around a wide loop before returning to Long Branch:

eastward along Lake Shore Boulevard West;
northward along Browns Line;
eastward along Horner Avenue;
southward along Thirtieth Street; and then
westward along Lake Shore West to a stop beside the Long Branch Loop,
picking up westbound passengers.
