Metrolinx completes environmental assessment
for Renforth Gateway to Mississauga busway project



The City of Mississauga, MiWay, Metrolinx and GO Transit continue to work on a project to build a “busway” — a bus-only roadway through central Mississauga.

A major component of the project is the “Renforth Gateway Hub”, the area just west of Renforth Drive in west-central Etobicoke, where Metrolinx and GO hope to build new roadways to link the bus rapid transit line to Highway 427 near Eglinton Avenue.

Metrolinx and GO have just finished the environmental project report on the project and want you to review the report and comment on their plans.

You can review the plans here. Provide your comments in writing by Friday, October 14 to:

After October 14, the Ontario Minister of the Environment — we don’t know who he or she is because of the upcoming provincial election — will review your the environment assessment report and your comments before either approving the plan or sending it back to GO for more work.
