Brampton Transit detours buses during sewer repairs,
September 26 only



The City of Brampton is closing

  • Van Kirk Drive between Wanless and Van Scott Drives

to repair the sewers all day, today, Monday, September 26.

Brampton Transit is detouring buses operating along the 24 Van Kirk route, while the roadway is closed.

Starting at 7 a.m. Monday, September 26, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Wanless and Van Kirk Drives, then detour:

westward along Wanless;
southward along McLaughlin Road North; and then
eastward along Van Scott Drive to Van Kirk Drive,
resuming their regular route southward along Van Kirk.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Van Kirk Drive south of Wanless Drive and at Van Scott Drive.

Instead, southbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on McLaughlin Road South south of Wanless Drive and
  • on Van Scott Drive at Bambirch Crescent [east].

**Northbound buses reverse the detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Van Kirk Drive at Wanless Drive.

Instead, northbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Van Scott Drive at Wandering Trail Drive,
  • on McLaughlin Road North north of Van Scott Drive and
  • on Wanless Drive east of McLaughlin Road North.
