TTC closes Bloor - Danforth subway after midnight,
until November 12



The TTC is maintaining the tracks and grinding the rails along the 2 Bloor - Danforth subway line in various sections until November 11. It’s closing the subway after midnight every morning at 12:01 a.m. and replacing the service with buses.

It already started this process by closing the subway after midnight between Kipling and Islington Stations last week and between Kipling and Jane Stations this week.

Regular service resumes at about 5:30 a.m.

From Monday, October 3 until Saturday, October 8
  • Subway closed between Ossington and Broadview Stations after 12:01 a.m.
  • Subway operates between Kipling and Ossington Stations and between Kennedy and Broadview Stations.
  • Frequent buses operate between Ossington and Broadview Stations.
  • Buses operate through the bus terminals at Ossington and Broadview Stations then drop off and pick up passengers on Bloor Streets West and East near Christie, Bathurst, Spadina, St. George, Bay, Bloor - Yonge, Sherbourne and Castle Frank Stations.
  • Since Ossington does not have an elevator and is not an accessible station, the TTC also provides accessible bus service between Dundas West and Broadview Stations.
  • Regular service resumes at about 5:30 a.m.
From Monday, October 10 until Saturday, October 15
  • Subway closed between Broadview and St. George Stations after 12:01 a.m.
  • Subway operates between Kipling and St. George Stations and between Kennedy and Broadview Stations.
  • Frequent, accessible buses operate between Broadview and St. George Stations.
  • Buses operate through the bus terminals at Broadview and St. George Stations then drop off and pick up passengers on Bloor Streets East and West near Castle Frank, Sherbourne, Bloor - Yonge and Bay Stations.
  • Regular service resumes at about 5:30 a.m.
From Monday, October 17 until Thursday, October 20
  • Subway closed between Woodbine and St. George Stations after 12:01 a.m.
  • Subway operates between Kipling and St. George Stations and between Kennedy and Woodbine Stations.
  • Frequent buses operate between Woodbine and St. George Stations.
  • Buses operate through the bus terminals at Woodbine and St. George Stations then drop off and pick up passengers on Danforth Avenue and Bloor Streets East and West near Coxwell, Donlands, Pape, Chester, Broadview, Castle Frank, Sherbourne, Bloor - Yonge and Bay Stations.
  • Since Woodbine does not have an elevator and is not an accessible station, the TTC also provides accessible bus service between Main Street and St. George Stations.
  • Regular service resumes at about 5:30 a.m.
From Friday, October 21 until Saturday, October 22
From Monday, October 24 until Saturday, October 29
From Monday, October 31 until Thursday, November 3
  • Subway closed between Woodbine and Kennedy Stations after 12:01 a.m.
  • Subway operates between Kipling and Woodbine Stations.
  • Frequent buses operate between Kennedy and Woodbine Stations.
  • Buses operate through the bus terminals at Kennedy and Woodbine Stations then drop off and pick up passengers on Warden and Danforth Avenues near Warden, Victoria Park and Main Street Stations.
  • Since Woodbine does not have an elevator and is not an accessible station, the TTC also provides accessible bus service between Broadview and Kennedy Stations.
  • Regular service resumes at about 5:30 a.m.
From Friday, November 4 until Saturday, November 5
From Monday, November 6 until Saturday, November 12
  • Subway closed between Warden and Kennedy Stations after 12:01 a.m.
  • Subway operates between Kipling and Warden Stations.
  • Frequent buses operate between Kennedy and Warden Stations.
  • Since Warden does not have an elevator and is not an accessible station, the TTC also provides accessible bus service between Victoria Park and Kennedy Stations.
  • Regular service resumes at about 5:30 a.m.
