Starting today, Monday, October 3, for about three weeks, GO Transit’s ongoing project to extend the platform at Rutherford GO Station requires GO to restrict access to trains at the station.
If you usually board trains at Rutherford, you can only gain access to the train through the six north-end coaches, during this construction period. This means that more than the usual number of passengers will board the train through these coaches. If you usually board the train between Barrie South and Maple GO Stations, use all the coaches on the train to reduce the number of passengers crowding the six north-end coaches.
When you’re returning to Rutherford, you should also board the six north-end coaches so you can exit the train easily.
