Streetcars return to Dundas West, October 9

The City of Toronto’s long-standing project to install watermains, replace sidewalks, rebuild the roadway and improve the streetscape along Dundas Street West ends Saturday, October 8.

Starting Sunday, October 9, TTC streetcars operating along the 306 Carlton overnight and 505 Dundas routes resume regular service along Dundas Street West between Dundas West Station and Lansdowne Avenue. Cars operating along the 506 Carlton route resume service along Dundas West and Howard Park Avenue.

Streetcars operating along the 306 and 506 routes also resume regular service across the Gerrard Street East bridge that day

Construction on this part of the roadway started Tuesday, September 4, but construction along Dundas west of Bathurst Street has interfered with regular streetcar service at various times since Monday, June 22, 2009.
