Oakville Transit detours buses
for railway track construction, October 8 to 11



The Town of Oakville is closing

  • Kerr Street between Wyecroft and Shepherd Roads

while Canadian National Railways crews repair the railway tracks and the level crossing at Kerr Street, all day Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Oakville Transit is detouring buses operating along the 28 Glen Abbey North route while the roadway is closed.

Southbound buses operate along their regular route.

From 6 a.m. Saturday, October 8 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, October 11, northbound buses operate along their regular route to Speers Road and Kerr Street, then detour:

westward along Speers; and then
northward along Dorval Drive to North Service Road West,
resuming their regular route westward along North Service West.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Kerr Street at Shepherd Road, across from Wyecroft Road and north of the Queen Elizabeth Way.

Instead, northbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Speers Road west of Kerr Street and at Woody and Dorval Drives and
  • on Dorval Drive at Wyecroft Road.
