Less service to the falls, starting October 11

Today, Thanksgiving, Monday, October 10 is the last day this year that Niagara Falls Transit operates shuttle bus service to Niagara Falls (we mean the actual waterfalls, not the city). GO Transit also ends weekend train service to Niagara Falls (we mean the city, not the waterfalls) today.

During the fall, winter and spring, GO operates buses seven days a week between Burlington GO Station and the Niagara Falls VIA Rail Station, while VIA operates two daily trains between Toronto’s Union Station and Niagara Falls. Greyhound Canada also operates daily buses between Toronto and Niagara Falls city, while and Coach Canada operates daily buses between both Toronto and Hamilton and Niagara Falls.

Since NF Transit is ending the shuttle service today, passengers hoping to view the waterfalls until next spring have fewer transit options. Best bet? Cross Bridge Street from the VIA Rail station to Niagara Falls Transit’s Downtown Terminal. Board buses operating along the 2 Jubilee (seven days a week), 3 Westlane (Mondays to Fridays daytime only), 4 Jill (Mondays to Fridays daytime only) or 5 Woodbine routes. Leave the buses at Ellen Avenue and Centre Street, walk south along Centre Street, cross Victoria Avenue and continue down Clifton Hill to Queen Victoria Park.
