Buses continue to detour at York University



Update — Monday, October 17, 7:42 a.m.: Buses resumed regular service through the campus this morning.


This morning, Wednesday, October 12, Ontario Ministry of Labour officials continue to investigate yesterday’s accident that killed a construction worker at the site of the future York University subway station.

The area around York Boulevard and James Gillies Street remains closed and buses from various transit agencies are detouring around the site of the accidents.

Passengers should expect substantial delays in service today until police and other officials reopen the area.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • at the Harry W. Arthurs Common,
  • on Ian Macdonald Boulevard at The Chimneystack Road,
  • on Founders Road at Steeles Avenue West and
