Guelph Transit detours buses during Metcalfe construction,
October 13 to 17

Update — Friday, October 14, 12:02 p.m.: Construction continues until Monday, October 17, instead of ending today, as the City originally announced. Buses continue to detour.

The City of Guelph is closing

  • Metcalfe Street between Bennett Avenue and Lemon Street

Mondays to Fridays from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. starting today, Thursday, October 13 for a project to connect water service to a new school building.

Guelph Transit is detouring buses operating along the 61 Victor Davis route while the roadway is closed.

Inbound buses operate along their regular route.

From Thursday, October 13 until Monday, October 17, outbound buses operate along their regular route to Eramosa Road and St. Catharine Street, then detour:

southward along St. Catharine; and then
eastward along Lemon Street to Metcalfe Street,
resuming their regular route southward along Metcalfe.

Outbound buses skip their regular stops on Metcalfe Street across from Cadillac Drive and at Lemon Street.

Buses operating along the 61 Victor Davis route also detour on Thursday, October 13 during construction on Eramosa Road between Arthur Street North and Delhi Street.

Inbound buses operate toward downtown.

Outbound buses operate away from downtown.
