Guelph Transit detours buses during Eastview construction,
October 13 to November 18

Update — Tuesday, December 1, 5:53 p.m.: Construction has ended and regular Guelph Transit service has resumed.

Update — Thursday, November 17, 6:29 p.m.: Construction — and the detour — continue after Friday, November 18. Guelph Transit has not announced when buses resume regular service.

Update — Friday, October 28, 7:36 p.m.: Construction — and the detour — continue until Friday, November 18, and not Thursday, October 27, as the City originally announced.

The City of Guelph is closing

  • Eastview Road between Starwood and Summit Ridge Drives.

including the entire intersection of Eastview and Starwood, starting Thursday, October 13. City contractors are working on a project to install new storm sewers, curbs, gutters and sidewalks. When contractors finish their work at the end of October, Eastview Road will accommodate a traffic lane and a bicycle lane in each direction.

Guelph Transit is detouring buses operating along the 6 Auden / Eastview route while the roadway is closed.

6 Auden / Eastview

From Thursday, October 13 until Friday, November 18, inbound buses start their trips on Starwood Drive at Thompson Drive, the proceed along their regular route southward along Starwood.

Inbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Auden Road at Eastview Drive and
  • on Starwood Drive south of Eastview Drive.

Outbound buses operate along their regular route to Auden Road and Watt Street, then detour:

eastward along Watt to Starwood Drive,
resuming their regular route southward along Starwood,
ending their trips on Starwood, just south of Watt, at Thompson Drive.

Outbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Auden Road at Eastview Drive.

Inbound buses operate toward downtown.

Outbound buses operate away from downtown.
