Guelph Transit detours buses for Grange Road construction,
October 17 to November 4

Update — Tuesday, November 1, 2:13 p.m.: Construction — and the detour — continue until Friday, November 4, and not Monday, October 31, as the City originally announced.

The City of Guelph is closing

  • Grange Road between Auden Road and Cityview Drive

starting Monday, October 17 for a project to connect water and sewer services to the Creekside subdivision.

Guelph Transit is detouring buses operating along the 6 Auden / Eastview route while the roadway is closed.

6 Auden / Eastview

From Monday, October 17 until Friday, November 4, inbound buses operate along their regular route to Watson Parkway North and Starwood Drive, then detour:

southward along Watson North; and then
westward along York Road and Elizabeth Street to Victoria Road North,
resuming their regular route westward along Elizabeth.

Inbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Starwood Drive at Frasson Drive, Fleming Road and Ralston Drive,
  • on Grange Road west of Silurian Drive and Raspberry Lane, at Auden Road and beside St. James Sports Field and
  • on Victoria Road North at Joseph Street.

Instead, inbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on York Road across from the Royal Canadian Legion, beside #780 York Road and Royal City Jaycees Park and
  • on Elizabeth Street at Beaumont Crescent.

Outbound buses operate along their regular route, but continue to detour around construction at Eastview Road and Starwood Drive.
