Toronto Transit Commission meets, October 19



Update — Tuesday, October 18, 7:31 p.m.: The TTC has posted a supplementary agenda with more reports for the Commission to consider.


The Toronto Transit Commission meets this Wednesday, October 19 at 10 a.m.

The meeting takes place in Committee Room 3, second floor, Toronto City Hall, 100 Queen Street West.

Among several other items, the commission will discuss staff reports recommending

  • that the TTC adopt a policy of randomly testing drivers for drugs and alcohol. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
  • that the TTC reduce the amount of free parking available at rapid transit stations. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
  • that WheelTrans buses no longer serve dialysis patients. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))
  • that the TTC postpone charging fees for text messages announcing when the next buses arrive at stops. (You can read the staff report here. (.pdf))

The commissioners will also review the Chief General Manager’s report on TTC operations for the period ending August 31, 2011. (You can read his report here. (.pdf))
