Brampton Transit revises routes and services,
starting October 24



Brampton Transit buses roll along a new route, starting next Monday, October 24. BT is also increasing the hours of service for the new Züm bus rapid transit service along Main and Hurontario Streets and making several other changes to its services that day.


Brampton Transit is changing services along these routes: 1 / 1A Queen; 2 Main; 15A Bramalea; 29 Williams; 56 Springbrook; 502 Züm Main.


Specifically, it is: introducing a new route; increasing service along a current route; and adjusting the schedules of current routes.


Introducing a new route


56 Springbrook

Starting Monday, October 24, the TTC starts operating buses along this new route between Mount Pleasant GO Station and the Springbrook neighbourhood Mondays to Fridays only during rush hours.

From Mount Pleasant GO Station, southbound buses proceed:

southward along Ashby Field Road;
eastward along James Potter Road;
south- and westward along Williams Parkway West;
southward along Royalwest Drive; and then
westward along Beacon Hill Drive to Mississauga Road North,
ending their trips.

They leave Mount Pleasant GO Station at 5:55 a.m. and every 30 minutes until 8:55 a.m., at 2:24 and 2:47 p.m., 3:15 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 6:45 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

Southbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at stops

  • in Mount Pleasant GO Station bus terminal,
  • on Ashby Field Road across from Fandango Drive and at James Potter Road,
  • on James Potter Road at Creditview Drive and Bonavista Drive,
  • on Williams Parkway West beside St. Roch Catholic Secondary School, at Personna Circle and Elbern Markell Drive,
  • on Royalwest Drive south of Williams Parkway West and at Beachville Circle and
  • on Beacon Hill Drive at Mississauga Road North.

From Beacon Hill Drive and Mississauga Road North, northbound buses proceed:

northward along Mississauga North;
east- and northward along Williams Parkway West;
westward along James Potter Road; and then
northward along Ashby Field Road to Mount Pleasant GO Station bus terminal,
ending their trips.

They leave Beacon Hill Drive and Mississauga Road North at 6:06 a.m. and every 30 minutes until 9:06 a.m., 2:35 and 2:58 p.m., 3:26 p.m. and every 30 minutes until 6:56 p.m.

Northbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at stops

  • on Beaconhill Drive at Mississauga Road North,
  • on Mississauga Road North south of Williams Parkway West,
  • on Williams Parkway West at Royalwest and Elbern Markell Drives, east of Elbern Markell Drive and at Abbotsbury and Valleyway Drives,
  • on James Potter Road west of Williams Parkway West, at Chudleigh Avenue and Georgian and Ashby Field Roads,
  • on Ashby Field Road at Fandango Drive and
  • in Mount Pleasant GO Station bus terminal.

Increasing service along a current route


502 Züm Main

Starting Monday, October 23, Brampton Transit operates buses on two later round trips along the route Mondays to Fridays.

Later southbound buses leave Sandalwood Züm Station at 10:21 and 10:41 p.m. They arrive at the Mississauga City Centre Terminal at 11:06 and 11:26 p.m. Later northbound buses leave Mississauga at 11:10 and 11:30 p.m. They arrive at Sandalwood at 11:50 p.m. Mondays to Fridays at 12:10 a.m.

Starting Saturday, October 29, BT operates a bus on an earlier round trip along the route Saturdays.

The earlier southbound bus leaves Sandalwood Züm Station at 6:41 a.m. It arrives at the Mississauga City Centre Terminal at 7:26 a.m. The earlier northbound bus leaves Mississauga at 7:30 a.m. It arrives at Sandalwood at 8:14 a.m.

Starting Sunday, October 30, BT operates a buses on earlier round trips along the route Sundays and holidays.

The earlier southbound buses leave Sandalwood Züm Station at 8:01 and 8:21 a.m. They arrive in the Mississauga City Centre Terminal at 8:49 and 9:09 a.m. The earlier northbound buses leave Mississauga at 8:59 and 9:19 a.m. They arrive at Sandalwood at 9:45 and 10:05 a.m.


Adjusting the schedules of current routes


15A Bramalea

Starting Monday, October 24, the first southbound bus from the Brampton Civic Hospital campus of the William Osler Health Centre arrives in the Bramalea GO Station bus terminal at 7:06 a.m., instead of 7:09 a.m., Mondays to Fridays.

Starting Saturday, October 29, Brampton Transit adjusts the Saturday schedule.
