Royal Winter Fair results in detours for TTC buses,
November 1 to 14



The 89th annual Royal Agricultural Winter Fair takes place in the Ricoh Coliseum, Horse Palace and the Direct Energy Centre at Exhibition Place from Friday, November 4 until Sunday, November 13.

Exhibition Place is closing

  • Manitoba Drive between Nova Scotia Avenue and Canada Boulevard

before, during and after the event to accommodate fair organizers, participants, exhibitors, vendors and others while they set up and dismantle the event.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along the 29D Dufferin (Princes’ Gate), 316” Ossington overnight and 329 Dufferin overnight routes, while the roadway is closed.


29D Dufferin (Princes’ Gate)

From Tuesday, November 1 until Monday, November 14, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Saskatchewan Road and Manitoba Drive, then detour:

eastward along Saskatchewan;
southward along Ontario Drive;
eastward along Princes’ Boulevard;
northward along Canada Boulevard; and then
eastward into Princes’ Gate Loop,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Manitoba Drive east of Saskatchewan Road, at Nova Scotia Avenue and across from Exhibition Loop.

Northbound operate along their regular route.

329 Dufferin overnight

From Wednesday, November 2 until Tuesday, November 15, southbound buses operate along their regular route to to Saskatchewan Road and Manitoba Drive, then detour:

eastward along Saskatchewan;
southward along Ontario Drive;
eastward along Princes’ Boulevard;
northward along Canada Boulevard; and then
eastward into Princes’ Gate Loop,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Manitoba Drive east of Saskatchewan Road, at Nova Scotia Avenue and across from Exhibition Loop.

Instead, southbound buses drop off passengers

  • in Princes’ Gate Loop.

Northbound buses start their trips in the Princes’ Gate Loop, then proceed:

southward along Canada Boulevard;
westward along Princes’ Boulevard;
north- and westward along Nunuvut Road; and then
northward along Nova Scotia Avenue to Manitoba Drive,
resuming their regular route westward along Manitoba.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Manitoba Drive beside Exhibition Loop.

Instead, eastbound buses pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • in Princes’ Gate Loop,
  • on Princes’ Boulevard at the Direct Energy Centre (across from Newfoundland Road) and
  • on Nunuvut Road beside the Horse Palace (east of Nova Scotia Avenue).
316 Ossington overnight

From Tuesday, November 1 until Monday, November 14, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Manitoba Drive and Canada Boulevard, then detour:

southward along Canada; and then
eastward into Princes’ Gate Loop,
ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Manitoba Drive beside Exhibiton Loop.

Instead southbound buses drop off passengers at a temporary stop

  • in Princes’ Gate Loop.

Northbound buses reverse the detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on Manitoba Drive across from Exhibition Loop.

Instead northbound buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • in Princes’ Gate Loop.
