TTC detours more buses for subway construction,
starting November 7

The City of Toronto is closing

  • Bakersfield Street between St. Regis Crescents North and South,

starting Monday, November 7, as TTC contractors continue to work on the project to extend the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina subway northwestward to York University and the Vaughan Metropolitan Centre.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along the 107 Keele North route, while the street is closed.

Starting Friday, November 4, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Ceramic Road and St. Regis Crescent North, then detour:

west- and southward along St. Regis North; and then
south- and eastward along St. Regis South to Tuscan Gate,
resuming their regular route southward along Tuscan.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on St. Regis Crescent South at Bakersfield Street and
  • on St. Regis Crescent North west of Bakersfield Street.

Southbound buses reverse the detour routing.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on St. Regis Crescent North across from Ceramic Road and
  • on St. Regis Crescent South west of Bakersfield Street.

Instead, southbound buses drop off and pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on St. Regis Crescent South, south of St. Regis Crescent.
