Weekend events affect transit services, November 11, 12, 13



Santa’s a busy man this weekend as parades in Ajax, Hamilton, the Maple area of Vaughan, Pickering and the Weston area of Toronto welcome him to town. The parades all affect transit services in those communities this weekend.

Other events affecting transit services this weekend take place in Guelph, Hamilton and central Toronto.

You can ride any Guelph Transit bus for free on Friday, November 11 to the Guelph Storm game against the Plymouth Whalers at 7:30 p.m. — if you have a valid ticket to the game. You can ride free of fare to and from the Sleeman Centre on Friday evening after 5 p.m. by simply showing the Guelph Transit driver your game ticket.

The City of Hamilton is closing

Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

The annual fair takes place in the Ricoh Coliseum at Exhibition Place from Friday, November 5 until Sunday, November 14.

While crews set up the event, during the event itself and afterward — as workers take down the displays and other components of the fair — Exhibition Place is closing Manitoba Drive to through traffic.

The City of Toronto is closing
