TTC detours buses for Avenue Road / Chaplin construction,
starting November 14

Update — Tuesday, December 12, 4:35 p.m.: Construction at the intersection has ended and buses have resumed regular service.

Ongoing work on the City of Toronto’s project to rebuild the watermains along Avenue Road between Caribou Road and Macpherson Avenue affects the westbound lanes of Chaplin Crescent, starting Monday, November 14.

(Earlier this year, from Monday, June 27 until Friday, August 12, the City closed the same westbound lanes of Chaplin, so that the its contractor could install several vertical wells to reduce the groundwater along that street. Now that those wells have served their purpose during the construction period, the next step is to remove the wells and repave Chaplin Crescent.)

The TTC is detouring buses operating along the 14 Glencairn route, while the roadway is closed.
