CN continues to replace ties along GO's Richmond Hill line,
until November 25

Update — Monday, November 21, 4:25 p.m.: GO e-mailed us to let us know that this project is a CN — and not a GO — project. We apologize for the error in an earlier version of this post.

The Canadian National Railway is extending its project to replace the track ties along the Bala Subdivision — which affects GO Transit’s 61 Richmond Hill line from east of Union Station to Old Cummer GO Station — for another week. CN originally expected to finish work this weekend, but now expects the job to continue until Friday, November 25.

The work requires GO to restrict the speed of trains operating along this section of the line, possibly delaying passengers for as long as ten minutes.

Work started on Thursday, November 3.
