Niagara Falls Transit proposes revising route network,
public meeting, November 28

Niagara Falls Transit wants you to review its proposal for revising its routes and enhancing service schedules during a public meeting of the City of Niagara Falls City Council Monday, November 28.

The proposals result from the Transit Ad Hoc Route Review Committee, which City Council recently established to develop a cost-effective and comprehensive routing and scheduling plan to improve transit service in Niagara Falls.

The meeting takes place in Niagara Falls City Hall, 4310 Queen Street, Council Chamber, starting with a presentation at 6:30 p.m.

Getting there by public transit: Niagara Falls Transit buses operating along the 1 Hospital, 2 Jubilee, 3 Westlane, 4 Jill, 5 Woodbine and 12 Thorold Stone routes all operate to and from City Hall.

Getting home: If you need a ride home after attending the event, the Amalgamated Transit Union’s Local 1582 is providing free bus service.

NF Transit has already revised its routes twice this year — revising two routes, starting Sunday, January 30, to serve the new SmartCentre and revising three routes, starting Sunday, October 16.

Those changes were fairly minor: the proposals that City Council is considering November 28 would be far more extensive.
