Part 1 -- MiWay revises routes and services,
starting December 12



MiWay is revising service along a number of its routes in Mississauga, mostly increasing service or increasing the frequency of service, starting Monday, December 12.

This part describes how MiWay is increasing service along current routes and increasing the frequency of service along current routes.

Part 2 describes how it’s revising service to colleges and universities; adjusting the schedules of current routes; and making other changes to current routes.


MiWay is revising service along these miLocal routes: 1 Dundas, 3 Bloor, 8 Cawthra, 10 Bristol - Britannia, 15 Drew, 19A Hurontario - Britannia, 20 Rathburn, Finch, 32 Lisgar GO, 35 Eglinton - Ninth Line, 38 / 38A Creditview, 39 Britannia, 41A Thomas - Streetsville GO, 2—_.shtml#ms42 Derry, 44 Mississauga Road, 45 / 45A Winston Churchill, 47 Ridgeway loop, 49A McDowell - Streetsville GO, 51 / 51A Tomken, 53 Kennedy, 59 Airport Infield, 61 Mavis, 62 Cooksville GO, 64 Meadowvale GO, 66 McLaughlin, 71 Sheridan - Subway, 76 City Centre - Subway, 90 Terragar - Copenhagen loop, 201 Dundas, 308 St. Joseph - Eglinton high school special.

It’s also revising service along these miExpress routes: 103 Hurontario express, 107 Malton express, 110 University express.


Increasing service along current routes


3 Bloor

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates a miLocal bus on a new westbound trip Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours. The bus leaves Islington Station bus terminal at 5:31 p.m. It arrives at the City Centre Terminal at 6:13 p.m.

19A Hurontario - Britannia

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates a miLocal bus on a new southbound trip early Monday-to-Friday evenings. The bus leaves Sandstone Drive and Avebury Road at 6:29 p.m. It arrives in Port Credit GO Station bus terminal at 7:22 p.m.

MiWay is also adjusting the schedule of the route.

201 Dundas

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates buses on new westbound Monday-to-Friday mornings and early evenings. The buses leave Islington Station at 10:15 am, 7:14, 7:22 and 7:30 p.m. The buses arrive in the South Common Terminal at 10:58 a.m. and 7:55, 8:03 and 8:11 p.m.

61 Mavis

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates miLocal buses on new southbound trips Monday-to-Friday evenings. The buses leave Sheridan College’s Davis Campus at 8:20 and 8:50 p.m.

66 McLaughlin

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay increases the frequency of service Mondays to Fridays during rush hours. miLocal buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 13 minutes, instead of every 15 minutes.

MiWay is also increasing service along the route and adjusting the schedule of the route.

66 McLaughlin

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates a miLocal bus on new southbound trips early Monday-to-Friday evenings. The buses leave Sheridan College’s Davis Campus at 6:55 and 7:37 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

MiWay is also increasing the frequency of service along the route and adjusting the schedule of the route.

44 Mississauga Road

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates a miLocal bus on a new southbound, short trip Mondays to Fridays during morning rush hours. The bus leaves Queen Street and Barry Avenue at 8:37 a.m., arrives on the University of Toronto’s Mississauga Campus at 8:51 a.m. and ends its trip on Glengarry Road south of Dundas Street West at 8:58 a.m.

It’s also operating a miLocal bus on another new southbound trip late Monday-to-Friday mornings. The bus leaves the Meadowvale Town Centre Terminal at 10:15 a.m., arrives on campus at 10:51 a.m. and Glengarry at 10:51 a.m.

MiWay is also making other changes along the route.

20 Rathburn

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates miLocal buses on new westbound trips Mondays to Fridays during the afternoon rush hours and early evenings. Buses leave Islington Station at 5:52, 6:12, 7:09 and 8:11 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. The buses arrive in the City Centre Terminal at 6:34, 6:53, 7:48 and 8:48 p.m.

MiWay is also adjusting the schedule of the route.

110 University express

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates more short-turn miExpress buses between the City Centre Terminal at the University of Toronto’s Mississauga Campus Mondays to Fridays during the morning rush hours, from about 8:15 until 10 a.m.

It’s also continuing to operate buses at the afternoon rush-hour frequency of every 15 minutes between the campus and the City Centre Terminal until 8:30 p.m. Mondays to Fridays.

MiWay may also add more short-turn trips to the schedule from about 2:15 until 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, depending on the number of passengers traveling on the buses.

45 Winston Churchill

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay operates a miLocal bus on a new northbound trip early Monday-to-Friday mornings. The bus leaves Winston Churchill Boulevard and Dundas Street West at 5:42 a.m. and arrives in the Meadowvale Town Centre Terminal at 6:04 a.m.

Operating an earlier bus improves service for passengers wanting to connect with a miLocal bus operating along the 38 Creditview route at the Meadowvale Town Centre.

MiWay is also making other changes along the route.


Increasing the frequency of service along current routes


1 Dundas

Starting Saturday, December 17, MiWay increases the frequency of service Saturday midday. miLocal buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 13 minutes, instead of every 14½ minutes Saturdays from 11 a.m until 7 p.m.

35 Eglinton - Ninth Line

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay increases the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays during rush hours. miLocal buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 14½ minutes, instead of every 16 minutes.

22 Finch

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay increases the frequency of service along the route Monday-to-Friday midday. miLocal buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 13 minutes, instead of every 18 minutes, Mondays to Fridays from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.

103 Hurontario express

Starting Monday, December 12, MiWay increases the frequency of service along the route Mondays to Fridays before 7 p.m. During morning rush hours, miExpress buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 17½ minutes, instead of every 19 minutes. From about 9 until 2 p.m, buses serve each stop along the route every15 minutes, instead of every 19 minutes. During afternoon rush hours, buses serve each stop every 17 minutes, instead of every 19 minutes.
