TTC repairs Dundas West overhead wiring, detours cars,
overnight tonight, February 27, 28



The TTC is repairing its overhead wiring above Dundas Street West between Roncesvalles and Howard Park Avenues overnight tonight.

During the repairs, it’s detouring streetcars operating along the 306 Carlton overnight and 505 Dundas routes.

Shuttle buses replace the cars, operating between Dundas West Station and Lansdowne Avenue.


306 Carlton overnight

Until 5 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, eastbound cars start their trips in High Park Loop, then proceed:

eastward along Howard Park Avenue to Dundas Street West,
resuming their regular route eastward along Dundas West.

Eastbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on Edna Avenue at Dundas Street West,
  • on Dundas Street West at Bloor Street West, east of Roncesvalles Avenue and at Howard Park Avenue.

Instead, eastbound cars drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • in High Park Loop,
  • on Howard Park Avenue east of Parkside Drive, at Indian Road, Roncesvalles Avenue and Dundas Street West.

Westbound cars reverse the detour routing.

Westbound cars skip their regular stops

  • on Dundas Street West across from Roncesvalles Avenue and at Bloor Street West.

Instead, westbound cars drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Howard Park Avenue at Roncesvalles Avenue, Indian Road and Parkside Drive and
  • in High Park Loop.

After 10 p.m. Monday, February 27** and before 5 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, eastbound cars start their trips in High Park Loop, then proceed:

eastward along Howard Park Avenue to Dundas Street West,
resuming their regular route eastward along Dundas West.

Eastbound cars skip their regular stops

  • in Dundas West Station terminal,
  • on Edna Avenue at Dundas Street West,
  • on Dundas Street West east of Roncesvalles Avenue and at Howard Park Avenue.

Instead, eastbound cars drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • in High Park Loop,
  • on Howard Park Avenue east of Parkside Drive, at Indian Road, Roncesvalles Avenue and Dundas Street West.

306 / 506 Dundas / Carlton shuttle buses

From 10 p.m. Monday, February 27 until 5 a.m. Tuesday, February 28, buses replace streetcars operating along the 306 Carlton overnight and 505 Dundas routes.

The buses operate between Dundas West Station and Lansdowne Avenue. Although the TTC has not specified the exact routing, the buses likely start their trips in Dundas West Station, then proceed:

south- and eastward along Dundas Street West; and then
northward along Lansdowne Avenue to College Street,
ending their trips.

Eastbound buses likely drop off and pick up passengers

  • in Dundas West Station terminal (until about 1:30 a.m. while the 2 Bloor - Danforth subway is operating),
  • on Dundas Street West at Bloor Street West (after 1:30 a.m. when the subway no longer operates), east of Roncesvalles Avenue, at Howard Park and Sorauren Avenues, across from Sterling Road and
  • on Lansdowne Avenue at College Street.

Westbound buses likely start their trips on Lansdowne Avenue, just south of College Street, then proceed:

northward along Lansdowne;
westward along College Street;
west- and northward along Dundas Street West; and then
westward into Dundas West Station terminal,
ending their trips.

Westbound buses likely drop off and pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Lansdowne Avenue at College Street,
  • on Dundas Street West at Sterling Road, across from Sorauren Avenue, at Morrow Avenue, across from Roncesvalles Avenue and at Bloor Street West and
  • in Dundas West Station terminal (until about 1:30 a.m. while the 2 Bloor - Danforth subway is operating).
