GRT detours buses during Huron Road construction,
starting April 10



The City of Kitchener is closing

  • Huron Road between Fischer-Hallmann Road South and Plains Road

for about five months, starting Tuesday, April 10 during a project to rebuild the roadway.

Grand River Transit is detouring buses operating along the 33 Huron route, while the road is closed.

From Tuesday, April 5 until Monday, September 3, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Woodbine Avenue and Maitland Street, ending their trips.

Northbound buses start their trips at Woodbine Avenue and Maitland Street, then proceed:

east- and northbound along Maitland; and then
east- and southbound along Parkvale Drive to Huron Road,
resuming their regular route, eastward along Huron.
