As many of you are already aware, due to major flooding at Union Subway Station, there is currently no service on the Yonge - University - Spadina line between Osgoode and Bloor stations for the foreseeable future.
At around 2 p.m., flooding was reported in the station, at which point power was cut and service turned back. In addition to the subway outage there is also no streetcar service entering Union Station with all streetcars turning back at Spadina and Queens Quay (Queens Quay Loop). GO transit and VIA rail are not affected; however, the PATH system entering into Union Station is closed and the only way to enter the GO concourse from the outside is via Bay Street, York Street or south via Bremner Boulevard.
Service on the 72 PAPE is diverting westbound via Church, Front, Jarvis, Esplanade due to a road closure as a result of the flooding at Union Station.
We will provide you with more information when it becomes available but for the time being THERE IS NO SUBWAY SERVICE BETWEEN BLOOR AND OSGOODE STATIONS AND NO STREETCAR SERVICE FROM SPADINA TO UNION STATION ALONG QUEENS QUAY. Front Street is also closed to accommodate shuttle buses this evening.
UPDATE AT 3:55 PM - THERE WILL BE NO SUBWAY SERVICE BETWEEN OSGOODE AND BLOOR DURING THE AFTERNOON RUSH.
