Saturday, August 4, Toronto’s waterfront bursts with the sounds and colours of the annual Caribbean Festival Parade. To help parade-goers get to and from the event, GO Transit is operating trains along the 21 Milton, 31 Kitchener and 61 Richmond Hill lines, the first time that GO trains have ever operated along these three lines other than Mondays to Fridays during rush hours.
GO’s also operating extra trains along the 01 Lakeshore West and 09 Lakeshore East lines and providing its regular Saturday service along the 12 Niagara Falls and 65 Barrie lines.
GO is not operating extra buses to connect with the extra trains.
Since GO contractors are repairing a bridge east of Centennial GO Station that day, GO is not operating trains along the 71 Stouffville line Saturday, August 4.
You can buy advance flat-rate GO day passes for August 4 at most GO train stations now. Adults can travel to and from the parade for $10. Seniors and children can pick up passes for $5, while $20 gives you a pass for a group. (A group can be as many five people traveling together. At least one, but not more than two, members of the group must be age 18 or older.)
65 Barrie
GO operates its regular train service along the line Saturday, August 4.
Regular southbound trains leave Allandale Waterfront GO Station in Barrie at 10:20 a.m. and 5 p.m. They serve all stations along the line, arriving in Union Station at 11:58 a.m. and 6:38 p.m. More regular southbound trains leave East Gwillimbury GO Station at 1:50, 4:12, 8 and 10:55 p.m. They arrive in Union at 2:21, 5:13, 9:01 and 11:56 p.m.
If you’re heading to the parade, board the special westbound train operating along the 09 Lakeshore East line, leaving Union Station at 12:10 p.m. and arriving in Exhibition GO Station at 12:16 p.m. Or, if you’re heading to the Exhibition or points west for other activities, board regular westbound trains operating along the 01 Lakeshore West line leaving Union at 2:43, 5:43, 6:43 and 9:43 p.m. Saturday or 12:43 a.m. Sunday. The trains arrive at Exhibition GO Station at 2:49, 5:49, 6:49 and 9:49 p.m. and 12:49 a.m.
If you’re returning from the parade, board regular eastbound trains operating along the 01 Lakeshore West line to return to Union. The trains leave Exhibition GO Station at 11 a.m. and 2, 5, 9 and 11 p.m., arriving in Union at 11:10 a.m. and 2:10, 5:10, 9:10 and 11:10 p.m. Or, board the special eastbound train operating along the 09 Lakeshore East line, leaving Exhibition at 6:33 p.m. and arriving in Union at 6:43 p.m.
Northbound trains leave Union for Allandale Waterfront GO Station at 5:25 p.m. Saturday and 12:10 a.m. Sunday. They arrive in Allandale at 7:02 p.m. and 1:45 a.m. More regular northbound trains leave Union at 12:10, 3:01, 6:50 and 9:41 p.m. Saturday. They arrive in East Gwillimbury at 1:09, 4, 7:49 and 10:40 p.m.

31 Kitchener
GO operates a special eastbound train, leaving Georgetown GO Station at 11:17 a.m. The train serves all stations along the line east of Georgetown, arriving in Union Station at 12:25 p.m. The train then continues to Exhibition GO Station, arriving at 12:31 p.m.
It also operates a special westbound train, leaving Exhibition GO Station at 6:44 p.m. The train arrives in Union Station at 7 p.m. and then serves all stations along the line until Georgetown, ending its trip at 8:01 p.m.

09 Lakeshore East
GO operates an extra westbound train, leaving Oshawa GO Station at 11:11 a.m. The train serves all stations along the line, arriving in Union Station at 12:10 p.m. The train then continues to Exhibition GO Station, arriving at 12:16 p.m.
It also operates an extra eastbound train, leaving Exhibition GO Station at 6:33 p.m. The train arrives in Union Station at 6:43 p.m. and then serves all stations along the line, arriving at Oshawa GO Station at 7:38 p.m.
Throughout the weekend, as usual, all other westbound 09 Lakeshore East trains continue to Exhibition GO Station and all other stations along the 01 Lakeshore West line after they leave Union Station. All eastbound 01 Lakeshore West trains continue beyond Union Station to serve all stations along the 09 Lakeshore East line.

01 Lakeshore West
GO operates an extra eastbound train, leaving Aldershot GO Station at 11:34 a.m. The train serves all stations along the line, arriving in Exhibition GO Station at 12:30 p.m. It then continues to Union Station, arriving at 12:40 p.m.
It also operates an extra westbound train, leaving Union Station at 6:13 p.m. and Exhibition GO Station at 6:19 p.m. The train then serves all stations along the line, arriving at Aldershot GO Station at 7:18 p.m.
Throughout the weekend, as usual, all other eastbound 01 Lakeshore West trains continue beyond Union Station to serve the 09 Lakeshore East line. All westbound 09 Lakeshore East trains continue beyond Union Station to Exhibition GO Station and all other stations along the 01 Lakeshore West line.

21 Milton
GO operates a special eastbound train, leaving Milton GO Station at 10:28 a.m. The train serves all stations along the line, arriving in Union Station at 11:30 a.m. It then continues to Exhibition GO Station, arriving at 11:36 p.m.
In the evening, board the regular eastbound train operating along the 01 Lakeshore West line that leaves Exhibition GO Station at 6 p.m. The train arrives in Union Station at 6:10 p.m., where you can transfer to a special westbound train operating along the 21 Milton line.
The train leaves Union at 6:30 p.m., serves all stations along the line and arrives in Milton at 7:28 p.m.

12 Niagara Falls
GO operates its regular train service along the line Saturday, August 4.
Niagara Falls-bound trains leave Union Station at 9 a.m., 4:15 and 8:10 p.m. They leave Exhibition GO Station at 9:06 a.m., 4:21 and 8:16 p.m. They arrive in the Niagara Falls VIA Rail Station at 11:04 a.m., 6:19 and 10:22 p.m.
Toronto-bound trains leave Niagara Falls at 11:30 a.m. and 7:20 and 10:30 p.m. They leave the Exhibition at 1:24 and 9:14 p.m. Saturday and 12:24 a.m. Sunday. They end their trips in Union Station at 1:34 and 9:24 p.m. and 12:34 a.m.

61 Richmond Hill
GO operates a special southbound train, leaving Richmond Hill GO Station at 11:34 a.m. The train serves all stations along the line, arriving in Union Station at 12:20 p.m. It then continues to Exhibition GO Station, arriving at 12:26 p.m.
It also operates a special northbound train, leaving Exhibition GO Station at 6:19 p.m. The train leaves Union Station at 6:30 p.m., then serves all stations along the line, arriving in Richmond Hill at 7:13 p.m.
