Burlington GO Station construction:
Burlington Transit, GO detours

Update — Sunday, October 27, 1:07 p.m.: Burlington Transit is revising its routes and services, starting Sunday, November 3. It’s renaming some routes, and revising others.

Starting November 3, these routes all start and end their trips in the north loop at the GO Station during construction: 1 Plains, 2 Brant North, 3 Guelph - Downtown, 5 Francis - Downtown, 6 Headon, 10 New - Maple, 12 Upper Middle, 21 Fairview, 25 Walkers, 50 Burlington South late-night, 51 Burlington Northeast late-night, 52 Burlington Northwest late night, 80 Harvester, 87A Tyandaga, 87B North Service West and 101 Plains express.

GO Transit’s ongoing project to upgrade Burlington GO Station continues. Starting Saturday, December 1, it’s closing the south station building and parts of the south parking lot to make the station “a more modern link to safe, comfortable and convenient public transportation”.

Until August, 2013, it’s closing the ticket windows and passenger washrooms in the station building and relocating them to the north side of station in front of the parking structure. GO staff will sell tickets from a temporary trailer.

Perhaps more important, it’s also closing the bus loop and the west tunnel from the south side. The east tunnel will provide access to the platforms and north side of the station. The elevators on the south side of the station will be out of service. You can gain access to the elevators only from the north side of the station.

Burlington Transit buses loop at the north side of the station, instead of the south side, affecting service along the 1 Plains, 2 Brant, 6 Headon Forest, 10 New - Maple and 101 Express routes.

GO Transit buses also loop at the north side, affecting service along the 12 Burlington / Niagara Falls, 15 McMaster and 18 Lakeshore West routes.
