Metrolinx Board of Directors meets, December 5



The Metrolinx board of directors is holding its next meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, December 5.

As usual, the agenda for the meeting contains both public and confidential items. The board will discuss the confidential items in a private session that starts at 8 a.m. The board then meets in public to discuss the rest of the items on the agenda at 10:45 a.m.

The meeting takes place in the Metrolinx Executive Boardroom, Sixth Floor, 20 Bay Street.


Among other items, the board will discuss, in public, reports:

  • proposing to increase GO Transit fares. You can read a report on the proposal here. (.pdf)
  • updating parts of “The Big Move”, the regional transportation plan — mostly minor changes relating the the timing and scope of some of the projects — and discussing timing of the “Next Wave” — the second phase of the projects.   • discussing the schedule for building the Air Rail Link, including its infrastructure and stations and for acquiring vehicles to operate the line.
