Davis Computer Sciences Centre on the University of Waterloo campus at 12:15, 1:15, 2, 3:05, 3:45, 3:55, 4:55, 5:05 and 6 p.m. Fridays only (The buses ended their trips in the Square One GO Bus Terminal at 1:25, 2:25, 3:15, 4:15, 5:05, 5:15, 6:15, 6:25 and 7:15 p.m.)

Friday, December 14 was the last day this year that GO operated any buses along this branch of the route.

Regular Friday-only service resumes Friday, January 11, 2013.

Buses operating along the main 25 Waterloo / Mississauga branch continue to provide passengers with local service between Waterloo and Mississauga seven days a week.

12 Conestoga Mall / Fairview Mall

Mondays to Fridays, December 24, 27, 28 and **31, and January 2, 3, 4 and 5, the southbound buses that usually start their trips in the Conestoga Mall Terminal at 7:30, 8 and 8:30 a.m. Mondays to Fridays, start, instead, at University Avenue and King Street North at 7:55, 8:25 and 8:55 a.m., then serve all other stops along the route at the same time as they usually do. GRT does not operate the southbound buses that usually leave Conestoga Mall at 9 and 9:35 a.m. during the holidays

The northbound buses that currently end their trips in the Conestoga Mall Terminal at 3:53, 4:23, 4:53, 5:23 and 5:53 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, instead, end their trips at University Avenue and King Street North at 3:24, 3:54, 4:24, 4:54 and 5:25 p.m.

Regular service resumes Monday, January 2, 2012.

By decreasing service along this route for the holidays, GRT also affects service for passengers traveling to and from the Conestoga College’s Waterloo Campus.

201 iXpress

Friday, December 21 is the last day this year that GRT operates the **southbound buses that usually leave Laurier iXpress station (University Avenue West across from Hazel Street) at 9:15 a.m. and 2:15 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. (The buses usually end their trips in the Fairview Park Terminal at 9:48 a.m. and 2:48 p.m.)

It also the last day this year that GRT operates the northbound buses that usually leave Fairview at 9, 9:30 and 10 a.m. (The buses usually arrive at Laurier at 9:33, 10:03 and 10:33 a.m.).

Regular service resumes Monday, January 7, 2013.

9 Lakeshore

Starting Monday, December 24, GRT is decreasing the rush-hour frequency from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes. Buses leave Conestoga Mall about every 30 minutes all day, starting at 5:40 a.m. Buses leave the William G. Davis Computer Sciences Centre on the University of Waterloo campus about every 30 minutes all day, starting at 6:01 a.m.

Regular service resumes Monday, January 7, 2013.

29 Keats Way

Starting Monday, December 24, GRT is decreasing the frequency of service before 3 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, except holidays, from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes.

Buses continue to drop off and pick up passengers at stops along the entire route every 15 minutes from about 3 until 9 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, except holidays.

Regular service resumes Monday, January 7, 2013.

13 Laurelwood

Starting Monday, December 24, GRT is decreasing the rush-hour frequency from every 15 minutes to every 30 minutes. Buses leave Erbsville Road and Laurelwood Drive, starting at 5:45 a.m. Buses leave the William G. Davis Computer Centre on the University of Waterloo campus every 30 minutes, starting at 6:10 a.m.

Regular service resumes Monday, January 7, 2013.

7D Mainline via University

Friday, December 21 is the last day this year that GRT operates the **northbound buses that usually leave the Charles Street Terminal at 8 and 8:30 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. (The buses usually arrive at the Ring Road and Columbia West on the University of Waterloo campus at 8:25 and 8:55 a.m.)

Regular service resumes Monday, January 7, 2013.


York University Keele Campus


GO Transit, the TTC and York Region Transit are decreasing service to and from the university during the holidays.

48 Guelph / York U

48 branch

Friday, November 30 is the last day that GO operates the eastbound buses that usually leave University Centre terminal on the University of Guelph campus at 1:10, 2:05, 3:05 and 4 p.m. Fridays only. (The buses end their trips in Meadowvale GO Station bus terminal at 1:55, 2:50, 3:50 and 4:50 p.m.)

It’s also the last day that GO operates the eastbound bus that leaves the University of Guelph at 5 p.m. Fridays. (The bus ends its trip at the Harry W. Arthurs Common on York University’s Keele Campus at 6:45 p.m.)

Sunday, December 16 was the last day this year that GO operated any buses along the main branch of the route Sundays and holidays.

Regular Sunday-and-holiday service resumes Sunday, January 6, 2013. Regular Friday-only service resumes Friday, January 11, 2013.

All other buses operating along the main 48 branch of the route continue to provide frequent service between the University of Guelph and York University Mondays to Fridays except holidays.

All other buses operating along the main branch of the route continue to serve passengers traveling between York University and Oakville Mondays to Fridays, except holidays.

By operating fewer buses along this route, GO also decreases service for passengers traveling to and from Sheridan College’s Trafalgar Campus.

52 Oshawa / York U

Wednesday, December 19 is the last day this year that GO operates the eastbound buses that usually leave the Harry W. Arthurs Common on York University’s Keele Campus at 8:15 and 9:15 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. (The buses usually arrive in the Downtown Oshawa Terminal at 9:30 and 10:15 a.m. and 4:40 p.m.)

It’s also the last day this year that it operates the westbound bus that usually leaves downtown Oshawa at 1:35 p.m. Mondays to Fridays. (The bus arrives on the York campus at 2:10 p.m.)

Regular Monday-to-Friday service resumes Monday, January 7, 2013.

Operating fewer GO buses along this route also affects service for passengers traveling to and from Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) North Oshawa Campuses.

Buses drop off and pick up passengers at each stop along the route every 18 minutes, instead of every 13 minutes, during morning rush hours. They serve each stop every 15 minutes, instead of every 13 minutes, during afternoon rush hours.

Since fewer passengers are traveling to and from the university, starting Monday, December 20, the TTC is operating fewer buses along the route Mondays to Fridays before 10 p.m. It also operates all buses to and from Sheppard - Yonge Station.

Buses drop off or pick up passengers at stops every 4½ minutes, instead of every 2 minutes during morning rush hours. They serve the stops every 6 minutes, instead of every 2 minutes from about 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. They serve the stops every 4 minutes, instead of every 2 minutes during afternoon rush hours. And, they serve the stops every 6 minutes, instead of every 3 minutes, from about 7 until 10 p.m.

Holiday service ends and regular service resumes Monday, January 7, 2013.


York Region Transit
Viva purple

Friday, December 21 is the last day this year that YRT operates short-turn buses between York University and Richmond Hill Centre Terminal Mondays to Fridays from about 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. This results in less frequent service between the two points, with buses dropping off or picking up passengers every 15 minutes, instead of every 7½ minutes.
