GO offers 'early homebound' service, December 21 and 28
for train passengers on Richmond Hill and Stouffville lines



GO Transit is helping some commuters get home earlier than usual this weekend. It’s offering ‘early homebound’ rush-hour service along the 61 Richmond Hill and 71 Stouffville lines.


61 Richmond Hill

An earlier northbound train leaves Union Station at 3:10 p.m. Fridays, December 21 and 28 only. The train serves all stations along the line and ends its trip in Richmond Hill GO Station at 3:52 p.m.

Since GO’s operating an earlier train, it’s also canceling several northbound bus trips those days.

61 branch

Fridays, December 21 and 28, GO is not operating the northbound bus that usually leaves Union Station GO Bus Terminal at 3:15 p.m. (The bus usually arrives in Langstaff GO Station at 4 p.m. and ends its trip in Richmond Hill GO Station at 4:20 p.m.)

61A branch

Fridays, December 21 and 28, GO is not operating the northbound express buses that usually leave Union at 3:10 and 3:40 p.m. (The buses usually end their trips in Richmond Hill at 4:05 and 4:40 p.m.)

61B branch

Fridays, December 21 and 28, GO is not operating the northbound bus that usually leaves Union at 3:40 p.m. (The bus usually ends its trip in Langstaff at 4:30 p.m.

71 Stouffville

An earlier northbound train leaves Union Station at 2:18 p.m. Fridays, December 21 and 28. The train serves all stops along the line until Unionville GO Station, ending its trip at 2:53 p.m.

To carry passengers further to stations further north along the line, GO’s also operating two more bus trips than usual that day. The buses meet the earlier train in Unionville.

71J branch

An early northbound bus leaves Unionville GO Station bus terminal at 2:58 p.m. Fridays, December 21 and 28. The bus serves all stops along the line until Mount Joy GO Station, ending its trip at 3:18 p.m.

71K branch

Another early northbound bus leaves Unionville at 3:03 p.m. Fridays, December 21 and 28. The bus serves all stops along the line until Railway Street across from Spruce Street in Uxbridge. It ends its trip in Uxbridge at 4:05 p.m.

Also, since GO’s operating an earlier train, it’s canceling several northbound bus trips from Union Station GO Bus Terminal those days.

71A branch

Fridays, December 21 and 28, GO is not operating the northbound bus that usually leaves Union at 2:45 p.m. (The bus operates express to Markham GO Station, then serves all stops along the route, ending its trip on Railway Street across from Spruce Street in Uxbridge at 4:10 p.m.)

71D branch

Fridays, December 21 and 28, GO is not operating the northbound bus that usually leaves Union at 2:20 p.m. (The bus operates express to Markham GO Station, then serves all stops along the route, ending its trip in Lincolnville GO Station bus terminal at 3:20 p.m.)

71F branch

Fridays, December 21 and 28, GO is not operating the northbound buses that usually leave Union at 2:10 and 2:40 p.m. (The buses arrive in Unionville GO Station bus terminal at 2:40 and 3:13 p.m. and end their trips in Centennial GO Station bus terminal at 2:50 and 3:25 p.m.
