Free rides on Barrie Transit this weekend,
December 7 and 8

Barrie Transit has an early Christmas present for passengers — you can ride free of fare all day this weekend, Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8.

The free rides will help seasonal shoppers get around to malls and the downtown shopping district, thanks to the sponsorship of the Downtown Barrie Business Improvement Area, Park Place, RioCan Georgian Mall and Smart Centres.

The City of Barrie also wanted to thank its passengers for their patience since Barrie Transit totally reorganized its routes and services in August. (It’s also making more changes to the routes this Saturday.)

The free rides also apply to B.A.C.T.S., the Barrie Accessible Community Transportation Service.
