You may have noticed that the 2014 TTC senior / student and child tickets are twice as large as older versions.
The TTC has designed the bigger ticket for the new streetcars. Each streetcar will have two ticket validator machines when they begin service later this year.
Eventually, the TTC will eliminate tickets and tokens as it moves entirely to the PRESTO system. After that, you’ll be using a PRESTO farecard — or cash — to pay your fare.
Don’t worry about the ticket validator machines, yet. The TTC says it will provide information about how to use the validators before the new streetcars start rolling along city streets to serve passengers.
