Subway trains bypassing St. Clair Station
this morning

Update - 7:24 a.m.: Regular service has resumed and trains are again stopping at St. Clair Station.

The TTC is advising that trains operating along the 1 Yonge - University - Spadina line are bypassing St. Clair Station this morning due to flooding (probably from a watermain break.)

It’s operating shuttle buses between Davisville and Rosedale Stations for passengers traveling to and from the area near Yonge Street and St. Clair Avenue.

(The water in pipes freezes and burst the pipes during the extreme cold, but the effects don’t appear until the temperature rises, the water melts and then gushes through the burst pipes.) This is the third time in a number of weeks that subway stations have been flooded — at Lawrence Station on December 16 and at Bloor - Yonge Station on January 4. Burst watermains continue to interfere with surface transit.
