In Toronto, events, festivals, road races or parades occur most weekends from early April until late October, generally resulting in the City closing streets and the TTC detouring transit services.
No events affect Toronto transit services this weekend, but, the festival (and road race!) season has already started elsewhere in the Greater Golden Horseshoe, as the Around the Bay Road Race affects transit services in Burlington and Hamilton.
The event affects these routes:
Burlington Transit — 1 Plains.
Hamilton Street Railway — 2 Barton, 3 Cannon, 4 Bayfront, 7 Locke, 8 York, 11 Parkdale, 41 Mohawk.

Around the Bay 30k Road Race
The Cities of Burlington and Hamilton are closing various streets Sunday to accommodate the 120th annual road race — the longest-running annual event of its kind in North America — supporting the St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton Foundation.
Burlington Transit and the Hamilton Street Railway are revising service during the event. Race participants follow a course that starts and ends in downtown Hamilton, but also stretches to the east end of lower Hamilton and into Burlington, so detours are extensive. (The detours are less complex than in previous years, since organizers have revised ans simplified the course route.)
