Less Grand River Transit service
to college, universities, December 15 to 19



Grand River Transit is reducing its services to and from Conestoga College’s Doon campus, the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University’s Waterloo campus from Monday, December 15 until Friday, December 19 Starting Monday, December 23 it further reduces service to universities and colleges. Regular university-and-college service resumes Monday, January 15, 2015.


GRT is revising service along these routes: 12 Conestoga Mall - Fairview Park Mall; 13 Laurelwood; 110 Fairview Park Mall - Conestoga College express; 116 Forest Glen Plaza - Conestoga College express.


12 Conestoga Mall - Fairview Park Mall

Friday, December 12 is the last day this year that GRT operates the extra Waterloo-bound buses that usually leave Ottawa Street South north of Westmount Road East at 7:50 and 8:50 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. The buses end their trips on University Avenue West west of King Street North, providing extra Monday-to-Friday morning-rush-hour service to the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University’s Waterloo Campus.

Regular service resumes Monday, January 5, 2015.

110 Fairview Park Mall - Conestoga College express

Friday, December 12 is the last day this year that GRT operates the extra southbound bus that usually leaves Fairview Park Mall terminal at 7:28 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. (The bus usually ends its trip on Conestoga College’s Doon Campus at 7:42 a.m.)

It’s also the last day this year that GRT operates the northbound bus that leaves the campus at 3:45 p.m. (The bus usually ends its trip in Fairview terminal at 4:01 p.m.)

Regular service resumes Monday, January 5, 2015.

116 Forest Glen Plaza - Conestoga College express

Friday, December 12 is the last day this year that GRT operates the extra southbound buses that usually leave Forest Glen Plaza at 7:14 and 8:15 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. (The buses usually end their trips on Conestoga College’s Doon Campus at 7:28 and 8:29 a.m.)

It’s also the last day this year that GRT operates any buses along the route Monday-to-Friday afternoons.

Regular service resumes Monday, January 5, 2015.

13 Laurelwood

Friday, December 12 is the last day this year that GRT operates the extra eastbound bus that usually leaves The Boardwalk terminal at 7:50 a.m. Mondays to Fridays. (The bus usually ends its trip on the Ring Road beside the William G. Davis Computer Sciences Centre on the University of Waterloo campus at 8:17 a.m.

Regular service resumes Monday, January 5, 2015.
