Leslie Street Configuration Dec 17.jpgCity of Toronto and TTC contractors continue the project to upgrade the street, improve the water-service infrastructure and install streetcar tracks on Leslie Street.

(They’re building new tracks to connect the future Leslie Barns streetcar maintenance and storage facility to the tracks on Queen Street East.)

Wednesday, December 17 afternoon, crews restored motorist access on Leslie Street between Lake Shore Boulevard and the plazas intersection (Loblaws / Burger King and Tim Horton’s / Wendy’s / FreshCo). You can again turn left from eastbound Lake Shore Boulevard East onto northbound Leslie. One lane of traffic is now available in both directions on Leslie Street between Lake Shore East and Eastern Avenue.

Crews will restore the east-west pedestrian and cyclist crossing on the north side of the intersection of Lake Shore East with Leslie by December 23.

The TTC continues to detour buses operating along the 31B branch of the 31 Greenwood route and the 83 Jones route.
