Dial-a-Ride

Phase 1 and Phase 2

Starting Monday, January 12, Burlington Transit is providing Dial-a-Ride service along Pinedale Avenue between Forestwood and Parkside Crescents, Mondays to Fridays from 5:30 a.m. until 7 p.m., Saturdays from 9:45 a.m. until 6:45 p.m. and Sundays from 11:45 a.m. until 5:45 p.m. With Dial-a-Ride, you can arrange a taxi to pick you up or drop you off at a regular bus stop.

Call Dial-a-Ride dispatch at 905-333-1113 about 30 minutes before you need the cab to pick-up or schedule a cab to regularly pick you up at the same time and location every day. Pay the taxi driver the regular cash fare ($3.25), a Burlington Transit paper ticket or show your monthly paper pass, then ask the driver for a special dial-a-ride transfer. PRESTO users must present their card to the taxi driver.

To transfer from a regular bus to a dial-a-ride taxi, tell your bus driver when you board. The driver will book a taxi, give you a transfer and take you to the appropriate transfer point. The taxi will then take you to the bus stop nearest your destination. Or, you can call dial-a-ride dispatch before boarding the bus or schedule a cab to regularly pick you up at the same time and location.

Dial-a-Ride vehicles operate both ways along Pinedale Avenue between Forestwood and Parkside Crescents. You can transfer to buses operating along other Burlington Transit routes at Appleby Mall.
