From 7 a.m. Saturday, February 21 until 5 a.m. Monday, February 22, westbound streetcars operate along their regular route to Gerrard Street East and Parliament Street, then detour:

southward along Parliament;
westward along Dundas Streets East and West; and then
northward along Bay Street to College Street,
resuming their regular route westward along College.

Westbound cars skip their regular stops

• on Parliament Street at Carlton Street,
• on Carlton Street at Ontario, Sherbourne, Jarvis, Church and Yonge Streets and
• on College Street at Bay Street.

Instead, westbound cars drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

• on Parliament Street across from Oak Street and at Dundas Street East,
• on Dundas Street East at Ontario, Sherbourne, Jarvis, Church, Victoria and Yonge Street,
• on Dundas Street West at Bay Street,
• on Bay Street at Elm Street, Gerrard Street West and College Street.

Westbound streetcar passengers can transfer to westbound buses at stops on Gerrard Street East between River and Parliament Streets.

Eastbound cars reverse the westbound detour routing.

From 7 a.m. Saturday, February 21 until 5 a.m. Monday, February 23, buses replace streetcars operating along the 301 Carlton overnight and 501 Carlton routes, while TTC crews repair the tracks at Carlton and Church Streets.

Westbound buses start their trips on Gerrard Street East and River Street, then proceed:

westward along Gerrard Street East;
northward along Parliament Street; and then
westward along Carlton and College Streets;
southward along McCaul Street;
westward along Dundas Street West; and then
northward along Beverley Street to College,
ending their trips.

Westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at regular route 306 / 506 stops:

• on Gerrard Street East at Sumach, Sackville and Parliament Streets,
• on Parliament Street at Carlton Street,
• on Carlton Street at Ontario, Sherbourne, Jarvis, Church and Yonge Streets and
• on College Street at Bay and Elizabeth Streets, University Avenue and across from McCaul Street.

Westbound bus passengers can transfer to westbound streetcars at stops on College Street between Bay and McCaul Streets.

Eastbound buses start their trips at Beverley and College Streets, then proceed:

eastward along College and Carlton Streets;
southward along Parliament Street; and then
eastward along Gerrard Street East;
southward along Broadview Avenue;
eastward along Dundas Street West; and then
northward along River Street to Gerrard East,
ending their trips.

• on College Street at McCaul Street, University Avenue, Elizabeth, Bay and Yonge Streets,
• on Carlton Street at Church, Jarvis, Sherbourne, Ontario and Parliament Streets,

• on Gerrard Street East at Sackville, Sumach, River and Blackburn Streets and Broadview Avenue.

Eastbound bus passengers can transfer to eastbound streetcars at stops on Gerrard Street East between Parliament and River Streets.

TTC crews are removing concrete that has lifted along a nine-metre (27-foot) section of track. The raised concrete prevents streetcars from using this section of Church Street.

Starting at about 7 a.m. Saturday, February 21, a crew will begin breaking and removing the concrete in the track area. They’ll complete this part of work by late afternoon, weather permitting.

Once they’ve excavated this track section, they’ll start placing concrete placement by about 10 p.m. The newly placed concrete will cure until 5 a.m. Monday, February 23 before traffic is allowed to travel over the track area.

Southbound traffic on Church may only turn left or right at the intersection. The work restricts northbound traffic to just the curb lane. Northbound motorists can’t turn left from Church onto Carlton. The work also restricts west- and eastbound traffic on Carlton to just one lane through the work zone. Motorists can’t turn left or right at the intersection.
