TTC shutting down Dundas West elevator
for major overhaul, starting March 8

The TTC is shutting down the elevator at Dundas West Station starting tomorrow, Sunday, March 8, as crews overhaul the device. The elevator returns to service during the first week of July.

Crews will completely replace:

  • the elevator cab;
  • the cab doors;
  • the door frames; and
  • the hydraulic jack unit.

During the overhaul, the TTC is operating an accessible shuttle bus service between Dundas West and Dufferin stations to allow passengers requiring an elevator to use the subway. (Dufferin is the accessible station nearest to Dundas West.)
