Parades and processions in the Bay Ridges area of Pickering, central Toronto and the Woodbridge area of Vaughan affect transit services this weekend, including both religious and festive celebrations of Good Friday and Easter.

Bay Ridges


Pickering Easter Parade

The City of Pickering is closing a number of streets in Bay Ridges, including

  • Annland Street between Liverpool Road South and Krosno Boulevard,
  • Bayly Street, eastbound lanes, between Krosno Boulevard and Alliance Road;
  • Krosno Boulevard between Annland and Bayly Streets and
  • Liverpool Road South between Annland Street and Millennium Square

Saturday morning to accommodate the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 606’s annual parade

Durham Region Transit is detouring buses during the event.

106 Bay Ridges

From 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4, buses operate along their regular route to Front Road and Commerce Street, then detour:

eastward along Commerce to Liverpool Road South,

The buses then continue along their regular route to Liverpool South and Krosno Boulevard, then detour:

northward along Liverpool South to Tatra Drive,
resuming their regular route northward along Liverpool.

eastward along Pickering Parkway; and then
southward along Brock Road South to Bayly,
resuming their regular route eastward along Bayly.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bayly Street east of Krosno Boulevard, Sandy Beach and Alliance Roads and across from Salk Road.

Instead, eastbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

The City of Toronto is closing

  • Lake Shore Boulevard East between Woodbine and Coxwell Avenues,
  • Queen Street East between Victoria Park and Woodbine Avenues and
  • Woodbine Avenue between Queen Street East and Lake Shore Boulevard East

Sunday afternoon to accommodate the annual parade.

The TTC is detouring transit service during the event. The parade also features a cavalcade of TTC streetcars.

From 1 until 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 5, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Southwood Drive and Glen Stewart Crescent, then detour:

west- and northward along Glen Stewart to Kingston Road, ending their trips.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Southwood Drive across from Cavendish Street and at Glen Ames Avenue and Williamson Road and
  • on Wineva Avenue south of Williamson Road and at Queen Street East.

Northbound buses start their trips on Glen Stewart Crescent at Kingston Road, then proceed:

eastward along Kingston to Main Street / Southwood Drive,
resuming their regular route northward along Main.

From 1 until 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 5, all streetcars start and end their trips in the loop at Kingston Road and Queen Street East.

From 1 until 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 5, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Woodbine Avenue and Kingston Road, then detour:

southwestward along Kingston Road and Eastern Avenue to Coxwell Avenue,
ending their trips.

  • on Woodbine Avenue at Columbine Avenue and Queen Street East,
  • on Lake Shore Boulevard East at the walkway to Joseph Duggan Road and
  • in Ashbridges Bay Park loop.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Kingston Road across from Columbine Avenue, at Dundas and Queen Streets East,
  • on Eastern Avenue south of Queen and

Northbound buses start their trips on Coxwell Avenue, just north of Eastern Avenue, then proceed:

The City of Toronto is closing a number of streets in the area of the church, including:

  • College Street between Montrose and Manning Avenues

westward into Dundas West Station terminal,
ending their trips.
