With the end of the academic term at local universities and colleges, Grand River Transit is revising service along many of its routes, starting Monday, April 27.
GRT is revising service along these routes: 7 Mainline; 9 Lakeshore; 10 Fairview Park Mall / Conestoga College; 11 Country Hills; 12 Conestoga Mall / Fairview Park Mall; 13 Laurelwood; 16 Forest Glen / Conestoga College; 19 Victoria South; 29 Keats Way; 31 Columbia; 53 Franklin Boulevard, 56 Dunbar; 57 Blair Road; 58 Elmwood; 59 Christopher; 60 Northview Acres; 63 Champlain; 67 Lovell Industrial; 92 University Loop; 110 Fairview Park Mall / Conestoga College express; 111 Ainslie St. / Conestoga College express; 116 Forest Glen / Conestoga College express; 200 iXpress; 201 iXpress; 202 iXpress; 203 iXpress.
Specifically, GRT is increasing service along a route; decreasing service along routes; decreasing the frequency of service along routes; revising service to and from colleges and universities; and adjusting the schedules for buses operating along routes.
Increasing service along a route
10 Fairview Park Mall / Conestoga College
Starting Saturday, May 2, GRT operates buses on two new trips in each direction along the route Saturdays.
The southbound buses leave Fairview Park Mall terminal at 11 a.m. and noon Saturdays. (They end their trips on Conestoga College’s Doon campus at 11:23 a.m. and 12:23 p.m.)
The northbound buses leave the campus at 10:31 and 11:31 a.m. (They end their trips in Fairview terminal at 10:53 and 11:53 a.m.)
GRT is also decreasing service along the route and adjusting the schedule for buses operating along the route.

GRT is also cancelling some trips along the north end of the route between University Avenue West west of King Street North and Conestoga Mall Terminal Mondays to Fridays during afternoon rush hours during the spring and summer schedule periods.
The buses that leave Fairview at 2:45, 3:15, 3:45, 4:15 and 4:45 p.m. Mondays to Fridays usually end their trips in Conestoga Mall Terminal at 3:56, 4:26, 4:56, 5:26 and 5:56 p.m. Instead, during spring and summer, the buses end their trips on University West west of King North at 3:26, 3:56, 4:26, 4:56 and 5:25 p.m.
(By canceling these trips, GRT effectively decreases the frequency of service Monday-to-Friday during rush hours.

The bus ends its trip in Charles Street Terminal at 3:40 p.m. The outbound bus that usually leaves Charles Street at 3:50 p.m. leaves, instead, two minutes earlier at 3:48 p.m. It ends its trip in Forest Glen Plaza terminal at 4:12 p.m.
