Metrolinx and York Region staff are hosting a vivaNext open house in Newmarket from 4 until 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, May 13.

Drop by the York Region Administrative Centre at 17250 Yonge Street to talk to staff about the Yonge Street and Davis Drive rapidway projects — bus-only lanes in the centre of each roadway.

You’ll also learn more about viva bus rapid transit service starting along Davis this December and view maps and information about the project.

Getting there by public transit:

  • southbound GO Transit buses operating along the 65 Newmarket / Toronto route to Yonge Street beside the administrative centre.
  • northbound GO buses operating along the 65 Newmarket / Toronto route to Eagle Street West just west of Yonge Street. Follow pedestrian pathway northward to the administrative centre.
  • southbound buses York Region Transit buses operating along the 22A King City route to Eagle Street West just west of Yonge Street. Cross Eagle West at the signal and walk north along Yonge Street to the administrative centre.
  • northbound YRT buses operating along the 22A King City route to Eagle Street West just west of Yonge Street. Follow pedestrian pathway northward to the administrative centre.
  • westbound buses York Region Transit buses operating along the 56 Eagle / Gorham route to Eagle Street West just west of Yonge Street. Cross Eagle West at the signal and walk north along Yonge Street to the administrative centre.
  • eastbound YRT buses operating along the 56 Eagle / Gorham route to Eagle Street West just west of Yonge Street. Follow pedestrian pathway northward to the administrative centre.
  • southbound YRT buses operating along the 98 Yonge route to Yonge Street beside the administrative centre.
  • northbound YRT buses operating along the 98 Yonge route to Eagle Street West just west of Yonge Street. Follow pedestrian pathway northward to the administrative centre.
  • southbound YRT buses operating along the Viva blue route to Eagle vivastation. Walk north along Yonge Street to the administrative centre.
  • northbound YRT buses operating along the Viva blue route to Eagle vivastation. Follow pedestrian pathway northward to the administrative centre.
