Bay Street filming:
TTC detours, May 22, 23, 24, 25



The City of Toronto is closing

  • Bay Street between King Street West and Lake Shore Boulevard West

to accommodate filming for the Warner Brothers production of Suicide Squad Friday evening, all day Saturday and Sunday and early Monday.

The TTC is detouring buses operating along these routes, while the street is closed:

  • 6 Bay; and
  • 172 Cherry St.

6 Bay

From 7 p.m. Friday, May 22 until 6 a.m. Monday, May 25, southbound buses operate along their regular route to Bay Street and King Street West, then detour:

eastward along King West; and then
southward along Yonge Street to Queens Quay,
resuming their regular route eastward along Queens Quay East.

Southbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bay Street south of King and Wellington Streets West, at Front Street West, south of Harbour Street and
  • on Queens Quay West east of Bay Street.

Instead, southbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on King Street West at Yonge Street,
  • on Yonge Street at Wellington and Front Streets West, Lake Shore Boulevard West and Queens Quay West.

Northbound buses reverse the southbound detour routing.

Northbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Bay Street north of Queens Quay West, at Lake Shore Boulevard West, across from the Air Canada Centre, north of Front Street West and at Wellington and King Streets West.

Instead, northbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on Yonge Street north of Queens Quay East and Front Street East and
  • on King Street West at Bay Street.

From 7 p.m. Friday, May 22 until 6 a.m. Monday, May 25, eastbound buses start their trips on King Street West at York Street, then proceed:

northward along York;
westward along Richmond Street West;
southward along University Avenue; and then
eastward along King Street West to York,
resuming their regular route eastward along King West.

Eastbound buses skip their regular stop

  • on York Street at King Street West.

Instead, eastbound buses pick up passengers at a temporary stop

  • on King Street West (eastbound) at York Street.

Westbound buses operate along their regular route to Church Street at Front and Wellington Streets East, then detour:

northward along Church; and then
westward along King Streets East and West to York Street,
ending their trips.

Westbound buses skip their regular stops

  • on Wellington Street East at Yonge Street,
  • on Wellington Street West at Bay and York Streets and
  • on York Street at King Street.

Instead, westbound buses drop off or pick up passengers at temporary stops

  • on King Street East at Yonge Street and
  • on King Street West at Bay and York Streets.
