This week, MiWay is hosting a series of public information centres to showcase, “MiWay5”, its five-year service plan. Since April 2014, MiWay staff have been consulting with passengers through surveys, focus groups and by reaching out to various stakeholder groups to develop the plan.
Now it’s hosting this series of events to present you with its final plan to provide you with another opportunity to review the proposals and provide your feedback and comments.
MiWay has scheduled the events for:
Events take place in communities throughout Mississauga, including:
- City Centre;
- Erin Mills;
- Malton; and
- Port Credit.
MiWay says “MiWay Five is its plan for evolving public transit in Mississauga over the five years from 2016 to 2020.” It comprehensively is reviewing where transit operates, when it operates, and how frequently. Eventually, the plan will define MiWay’s service standards for the next five years and set the stage for expanding transit in the future.
Monday, May 25
Malton Community Centre

- Westwood Mall terminal is two blocks west of the community centre on Morning Star Drive.

- Eastbound GO buses operating along the 19 Oakville / North York, 21 Milton / Toronto and 29 Guelph / Mississauga routes to Duke of York Boulevard at Princess Royal Drive. Walk south along Duke of York to the civic centre.
- Westbound GO buses operating along the 19 Oakville / North York, 21 Milton / Toronto and 29 Guelph / Mississauga routes to City Centre Drive east of Duke of York Boulevard. Walk west along City Centre, then cross Duke of York at the signal to the northwest corner.
- southbound MiWay buses operating along the 6 Credit Woodlands route to Living Arts Drive at Princess Royal Drive. Cross to the east side of Living Art, walk south one block and then east along City Centre.
